The MSc program I'm following handles the engineering and management aspects of production and how they interact. The engineering side includes manufacturing technologies, automation, maintenance, and production development tools and methods. The management side includes operations strategy, planning and management of resources for a sustainable production environment. I am integrating this knowledge with courses from the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship (SSES), such as "Finance for Startups".

The School of Management Engineering at LIUC – Cattaneo University aims to train students who are capable of adapting to a range of contexts and managing complex systems, by attaining a solid knowledge base in engineering and key principles of  management, together with interdisciplinary skills, such as the ability to work in a team, attention to environmental and social sustainability issues and multi-disciplinarity. I chose to attend the "Digital Business Services" specialization, aimed at students who want to develop digital management skills that cut across industry sectors and functional areas of organisations. The course contributes to the development of knowledge of the characteristics and dynamics of innovation in the service sector and skills for the implementation and design of services to complement physical products in companies in the sector.
