In this position, I am writing articles for the physical and web edition of the magazine from my university's student union, THS. I publish articles ranging from personal essays to investigative journalism, read every trimester by tens of thousands of students. This experience is an opportunity to work on my skills in data gathering and analysis, data visualization (Tableau), bibliographic research, and interviewing experts. It is a great training ground for writing content in different tones and collaborating with other creatives.
In this position, I worked together with seasoned veterans of business consulting and data analysis on multiple cases of business process reengineering and strategy evolution. I have worked on both industrial and service cases, helping business owners to optimize for time and money, achieve their strategic and financial goals, and building the IT tools needed to succeed. I worked with data processing (PowerBI, Knime, SQL, Excel), ERP software (SAP), and occasional pure coding (Python, C). Out of this internship, I wrote my Bachelor thesis, analysing the advantages of digitalization on vendor management in an international compressor manufacturer.
In this position, I taught Basic Life Support and First Aid procedures to adults and children in several contexts, releasing worldwide recognized certificates through the prestigious American Heart Association (AHA). This experience taught me how to teach and offered me invaluable insights into how to organize a class, how to explain complicated and sensitive concepts in a captivating yet precise way, and how to challenge people into giving their best.
In this position, I travelled around the Lombardy region to teach other volunteers how to prepare for the "Io Non Rischio" (INR) communication campaign, organized by the Department of the Italian Civil Protection. The campaign's aim is to spread awareness on natural risks affecting the Italian territory and teach good practices to keep safe during extreme events. After receiving training myself, I helped other volunteers to get ready to interact with people in city squares and set up educational activities for children and grown ups.Â
